Millen and Youtz Sweep BIG EAST Field Hockey Weekly Honors

NEW YORK - Temple field hockey's Lizzy Millen and Amber Youtz have swept the BIG EAST Conference weekly honors after leading the 15th-ranked Owls to a 2-0 week. Millen was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for a third time this season, while Youtz was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in 2014.

In a 2-0 weekend for Temple, Youtz sparked the Owls' offense with nine points and recorded her fifth career hat trick against Kent State on Saturday in a 5-0 win. Youtz has scored in three of Temple's last four games, and ranks seventh in NCAA Division I in goals per game (1.00). She also ranks 15th nationally in points per game with a BIG EAST-best 2.20 average. Following her hat trick against Kent State, Youtz scored a goal and recorded an assist in Temple's 3-2 win vs. American. That goal put her at 52 career goals, which moves her into fourth place alone on the all-time list.

Millen earned a pair of wins by stopping 13 shots in nearly 125 combined minutes against Kent State and American. The senior showed an .867 save percentage to improve to 7-3 on the season. Millen's .831 saves percentage for the season ranks sixth among all goalkeepers in NCAA Division I, while also leading the conference. She ranks 16th nationally in goals against average (1.33) and 24th in saves per game (5.90) while leading the BIG EAST in that category.

Breen scored a pair of goals against James Madison on Sunday while also helping the defense allow just three shots in ODU's lone game of the week. 
Megan Hamilton, Providence, Fr., F/M
Hamilton totaled seven points in a 2-0 weekend for PC, including a hat trick at Maine. The Friars have won five straight following its win over Miami (Ohio), in which Hamilton had an assist.

Hept denied the only shot faced on Sunday against JMU and is riding a streak of over 116 consecutive minutes without surrendering a goal.
