Amber Youtz Named Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Month for September

PHILADELPHIA - Temple field hockey's Amber Youtz has been named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Month for September after a number of impressive performances for the nationally ranked Owls. Youtz, an All-American Second Team selection as a junior, leads the team and the BIG EAST Conference with 10 goals so far this season.
For the month of September, Youtz scored seven goals and added two assists for 16 total points, leading the nationally ranked Owls to a 5-3 record. Youtz recorded her fifth career hat trick in a 5-0 win vs. Kent State on Sept. 27, and scored both goals for Temple in a 2-1 win at Bucknell on Sept. 20.
In wins against Delaware and American, she tallied both a goal and an assist. Youtz's final goal of the month against American moved her into fourth place all-time at Temple with 52 career goals. Following her four-goal weekend against Kent State and American, Youtz was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.
