Field Hockey Player Spotlights: Ali Meszaros and Maris Stern

During each week of the 2015 Temple field hockey season, two student-athletes will be featured for "Player Spotlights" on OwlSports.com. The 10th player spotlights of the year will help Owl fans get to know junior Ali Meszaros and redshirt freshman Maris Stern.

Do you have siblings? Names, ages? I come from a family of five. I have two older sisters, Sarah (25) and Emily (22). I have an older brother Andrew (23) and a younger brother Philip (16). If you could be in any profession after college, what would it be? I would love to be an elementary school teacher! I have always wanted to teach. What TV show are you hooked on? Gray's Anatomy! What is your biggest fear? Clowns. If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Definitely pizza. What is your proudest accomplishment? Being a part of Temple's field hockey program. What is something your mom or dad taught you? To kill people with kindness. Last concert you saw and where? Blake Shelton on the beach in Atlantic City. Do you have any supersititions before games? I always sit with Katie Foran on the bus ride to away games. If you could change one thing about the world today, what would it be? That there was no such thing as money and everything was FREE! If you were an animal, would animal would you be? I'd want to be a dog because all they do is eat and sleep. They have the best life.	Why did you start playing field hockey? When I was younger, my older cousins played and I wanted to be just like them. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Teleportation, so I could get anywhere in the world at a moments' notice. Do you have siblings? Names, ages? Two brothers, Levi (26) and Briar (23). Favorite candy? Hershey's bar with almonds. If you weren't playing field hockey in college, what would be your backup sport? Cheering. If you were an animal, what animal would you be? Cheetah. What is something your mom or dad taught you? You can do anything you set your heart to. Do you have any pets? Names? I have a kitty cat named Lucky. What's one word to describe yourself? Loud. Favorite exercise in the weight room? Squatting.
