During each week of the 2015 Temple field hockey season, two student-athletes will be featured for "Player Spotlights" on OwlSports.com. The first player spotlights of the year will help Owl fans get to know senior Amanda Fuertsch and redshirt sophomore Taylor Janney.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Super speed.

Why did you start playing hockey?
My older sister started playing.

Do you have siblings? Names, ages?
Emily, 23, and Natalie, 14.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Fettuccini alfredo from Olive Garden.

What is your favorite place to eat on campus?
Smoothie truck at Broad and Montgomery.

If you won a million dollars, what's the first thing you would buy?
House on the lake.

What is your proudest accomplishment?
Making the Trustee Ten in the spring of 2015.

Favorite sport to watch on TV (other than field hockey)?
Curling

What TV shows are you hooked on?
General Hospital, Bachelor/Bachelorette, Gray's Anatomy, America's Next Top Model.

If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
Tiger.

Early bird or night owl?
Early bird.

What is your favorite part about being a member of Temple Field Hockey?
Always having someone to back you up.

What is your biggest fear?
Heights.

What is something your mom or dad taught you?
Give 100% all the time.

Do you have any pets? – Names?
Dog, Reese.

If you weren't playing field hockey in college, what would be your back-up sport?
Tennis.

What is playing on your iPod today?
Thomas Rhett.






 
Do you have siblings? Names, ages?
Yes, an older brother named Ryan, he's 22. Also a younger brother named Justin who's 17.
 
If you could be in any profession after college, what would it be?
Physical therapy for kids.
 
If you could change one thing about the world today, what would it be?
No classes, everyone's equal.
 
If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hibachi filet :)
 
Favorite candy?
Dinner mints.
 
If you won a million dollars, what's the first thing you would buy?
A Weiner dog!!!!
 
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Working at CHOP on a new research project with kids who have cerebral palsy.
 
If you could be a professional singer, actress or dancer, which one would you choose?
Singer.
 
Favorite exercise in the weight room?
Bench press.
 
What's one word to describe yourself?
Unique.
 
Early bird or night owl?
Night owl.
 
Vacation at the mountains or beach?
Mountains.
 
What's a place you would like to travel to in the next 5 years?
Africa.
 
What is something your mom or dad taught you?
They taught me that hard work pays off, maybe not today, but it will if you keep putting in the effort.
 
Last concert you saw and where?
Kenny Chesney at the Linc.
 
Do you have any pets? – Names?
Yes, Molly (yellow lab), Tinsley (shelty/jack russell mix), Charlie (dachshund), Winston (hamster).
 
Do you have any superstitions before games?
I listen to the song Who You Are (acoustic) by Jessie J before every game.
