Field Hockey Player Spotlights: Haley Mitchell and Rachael Mueller

During each week of the 2015 Temple field hockey season, two student-athletes will be featured for "Player Spotlights" on OwlSports.com. The second player spotlights of the year will help Owl fans get to know senior Haley Mitchell and sophomore Rachael Mueller.

Why did you start playing field hockey? My two older sisters played (one was a field player and the other was a goalie) so I just wanted to follow in their footsteps. Do you have siblings? Names, ages? I have three siblings. Kaitlan (26), Chelsea (25) and Jameson (19). If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? That's a toss up... I would say either lamb or pulled pork. If you won a million dollars, what's the first thing you would buy? Plane tickets to Europe. Favorite sport to watch on TV (other than field hockey)? Ice hockey. What TV shows are you hooked on? I just finished One Tree Hill, Orange is the New Black and Gray's Anatomy and now I am on to Scandal. What's one word to describe yourself? Genuine. If you could be a professional singer, actress or dancer, which one would you choose? I would definitely want to be a professional actress. What is your favorite part about being a member of Temple Field Hockey? My teammates and the level of play that they bring to every practice. They are fun to be around and play hockey with. What's a place you would like to travel to in the next five years? I'll be studying abroad in London for the spring semester but I also hope to visit Germany, Spain and Italy while I'm there. Do you have any pets? Names? I have two adorable dogs, Griffen and Reilly.	Do you have siblings? Names, ages? Shannon and Erin (18) and Keithie (16). If you could be in any profession after college, what would it be? WNBA player. If you could change one thing about the world today, what would it be? How fast time goes. If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Crabs and sushi. If you won a million dollars, what's the first thing you would buy? A shore house. If you were an animal, what animal would you be? My dog, Gracie. What is your biggest fear? Failing. What's a place you would like to travel to in the next five years? Monte Carlo. What is playing on your iPod today? Country. What's one word to describe yourself? Outspoken. What is something your mom or dad taught you? That I can do anything I set my mind to. Do you have any superstitions before games? I never untie my shoes, I play all year long with the same knots.
