Field Hockey Player Spotlights: Alyssa Hughes and Charlotte de Cuyper

During each week of the 2015 Temple field hockey season, two student-athletes will be featured for "Player Spotlights" on OwlSports.com. The fourth player spotlights of the year will help Owl fans get to know senior Alyssa Hughes and freshman Charlotte de Cuyper.

If you could change one thing about the world today, what would it be? Get rid of people who are intentionally evil or malicious. Do you have siblings? Names, ages? Yes, a sister named Rachel, about to start her sophomore year at Duquesne playing lacrosse there. If you won a million dollars, what's the first thing you would buy? An all-inclusive vacation in the Caribbean. Favorite sport to watch on TV (other than field hockey)? Ice hockey. What is something your mom or dad taught you? Never lie. What is your favorite part about being a member of Temple Field Hockey? We are one big family. Everyone wants everyone else to succeed. Where would you like to travel in the next five years? Ireland. What is your biggest fear? Rabid animals. If you could be a professional singer, actress or dancer, which one would you choose? Dancer, because I am an awful dancer. Last concert you saw and where? Luke Bryan at the Susquehanna Bank Center. What TV shows are you hooked on? Gray's Anatomy, Rookie Blue, I do try to keep up with the Kardashians.	Why did you start playing hockey? I watched the sport once and I found it really cool and needed to try it out. If you could have any super power, what would it be? The ability to see into the future. Favorite candy? Skittles. What TV shows are you hooked on? Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, Suits, Scandal... Do you have siblings? Names, ages? Yes, I have a sister Eline who is 21. What's one word to describe yourself? Friendly. Early bird or night owl? Night owl. If you weren't playing field hockey, what would be your back up sport? Soccer. What is your biggest fear?
