Lilliock and Mueller Named to BIG EAST Field Hockey Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After a weekend that saw Temple field hockey upset No. 13 Old Dominion in conference action, both Maddie Lilliock and Rachael Mueller have been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Both players were instrumental in the 2-1 overtime win for the Owls.
Lilliock finished the week with 12 saves, making nine of those in the Oct. 7 home win against ODU for her first career win over a ranked team. She posted four saves in each half and then a crucial save in overtime to keep Temple in the game. In a loss at Penn on Oct. 9, Lilliock stopped three more shots.
Mueller scored the game-winner for the Owls in the extra period against the Monarchs, collecting the ball on the left wing near the far baseline and slipping a shot past the ODU goalkeeper for the win. The game-winner was Mueller's third in four games, and was her second overtime game-winner this season.
Temple has just one game on the schedule this week, staying close to home for a noon game at BIG EAST foe Villanova on Saturday, Oct. 15.
