Paige Gross Named to NFHCA All-Region Second Team

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Temple senior Paige Gross has been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region Second Team, as announced on Tuesday. Gross is one of 16 second-team honorees from the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Gross has collected a number of honors this season, including selection to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team. She scored two goals in 2016, recording one in each of the final two games of her career.Â
Utilized in both the defensive center midfield position as well as in the backfield, Gross was key in making open field tackles against some of the top teams in the country. She was also the primary stick stopper on attacking corners for Temple. Gross had one assist on the year, and scored her first goal of the season in the Owls' Senior Day win against Lafayette on Oct. 30 before going on to score again in the BIG EAST semifinals against UConn. Gross, a team tri-captain, also collected a pair of defensive saves for Temple in 2016.Â
