Field Hockey Unveils Competitive Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - Temple field hockey will play a competitive slate of spring games over the next month, including the Philly 5 City Tournament at home to close out the season on Sunday, April 17.
"The tournament and games scheduled this spring will provide equal opportunities and challenges for our individual skill and team development," said Temple head coach Marybeth Freeman. "We've been focused this spring on enhancing our fundamentals, remaining continual learners of the game and embracing new and dynamic roles within the team. I'm very pleased with how we have evolved thus far this spring and we're excited to finish the year showcasing everything we've learned to date."
The Owls start the spring season on Saturday, March 19 in a tournament at Delaware where they will face the host Blue Hens along with Villanova and American from 11-2:30 p.m.
A week later, Temple travels to Penn State on March 26 to face the Nittany Lions and James Madison. On Saturday, April 2, Temple hosts Lafayette at home on Geasey Field at 1 p.m.
Goal Line Field Hockey is sponsoring an 11 v 11 club tournament and clinic at Geasey Field on Saturday, April 16. More information can be found at Goallinefieldhockey.com and by clicking on the flyer HERE.
The spring season will conclude the following day with the Philly City 5 Tournament featuring the Owls, La Salle, Drexel, Villanova and Saint Joseph's.
