PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer (5-6-1, 1-2 American) fell to No. 25 SMU (8-2, 2-1) on Saturday in its third American Athletic Conference match of the season.
Keys to the Match
>The Mustangs scored the first goal of the match in the 20th minute courtesy of Jared Rice, his first goal of the season.
> In the 48th minute senior Divin Fula Luzolo tied the game with a shot from about 30 yards out, darting the ball into the far post. Assisted by freshman Alan Camacho Soto, it was his first goal of 2017.
> SMU's Mauro Cichero scored the game-winner for the Mustangs in the 79th minute. He headed a cross from Emil Cuello into the top right corner of the net.
> Temple had several opportunities in the second half, but was not able to find the net for the tying goal..
