Sarah Keer Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - For her efforts in helping Temple field hockey beat UC Davis in overtime, redshirt senior Sarah Keer has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll. It is the first such honor for Keer, and the Owls' third of the season overall.
With nearly 10 minutes elapsed in overtime on Oct. 8, Keer's teammate Rachael Mueller earned the penalty stroke when she was fouled in front of the cage. Keer came into the game and took the shot, lifting the ball into the upper right corner to secure the victory for the Owls. It was Temple's second straight home overtime win, and the second straight by a score of 3-2.
Keer took a total of three shots in the win, coming off the bench to see significant playing time for Temple.
Next up, Temple will host BIG EAST foe Villanova at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.
