PHILADELPHIA - The 2016 Temple field hockey program celebrated its season and honored a number of individuals and seniors at its annual banquet on April 29 at Edberg-Olson Hall. In addition to the team, many families were in attendance along with coaches and support staff.

The senior class of 2017 includes Katie Foran, Paige Gross, Ali Meszaros and Michelle Walsh, who were all recognized for four great years with the program.

Meszaros earned an additional award, being named Best Defensive Player for the Owls, as did Foran, who received the Anne Volp Award for her academic performance.

Junior Hattie Kuhns and sophomore Jessika Daniels were named the team's Most Improved Players from the 2016 season, while junior Rachael Mueller earned Best Offensive Player honors.

The final honor, the 3-Touch Hockey Award, was given to freshman Kathryn Edgar. The 3-Touch Hockey Award is for a player who engages with the community and excels in the classroom and on the field.

First, second, third and fourth-year letterwinners received gifts of blankets, letterwinner jackets, watches and framed letters, respectively.
