Julius Mouser Named Field Hockey’s Volunteer Assistant

8.2.17 | Field Hockey

PHILADELPHIA - Julius Mouser has been tapped by Temple field hockey head coach Marybeth Freeman as a volunteer assistant for the Owls starting in the 2017 season. Mouser has been part of the USA Men's National Team system since 2016, and has had high-level playing experience.

"Julius brings a fresh and competitive perspective to the sport to Temple field hockey," said Freeman. "As our volunteer assistant, Julius will be challenging our players daily in efforts to refine their technical skills and to think more broadly on the tactical side of the game. His high-performing skill sets and ability to lead by example will be tremendous for our student-athletes. We are looking forward to having him be a part of our TUFH family."

Mouser was a part of the Olympic Developmental Squad which faced the U19 Canadian National Team. With his National Indoor Team, Mouser won the men's adult division in 2009. He has been a part of three men's national high performance championships as well (2007, 2008 and 2015).

Mouser is a native of Havertown, Pa. He played lacrosse for the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, scoring 69 goals and adding 32 assists as a senior to become the program's first All-American.
