Rachael Mueller Named to BIG EAST Field Hockey Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After leading Temple field hockey to a 3-1 win at Holy Cross on Sept. 17, senior midfielder Rachael Mueller has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the first time this season.

Mueller, a 2016 BIG EAST First Team honoree and 2017 Preseason All-BIG EAST selection, had a hand in four of the Owls' five goals in a 1-1 week. She assisted on both Temple goals in a 4-2 loss at Providence on Sept. 15 and has a team-leading four assists this season.

In the Holy Cross win, Mueller scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals in the second half. She now has a team-best four goals in 2017 and a team-best 12 total points.

The Owls are back home this week after playing five straight road games, and will host #1 UConn in their BIG EAST home opener on Friday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.
