Field Hockey's Kathryn Edgar Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
9.24.18 | Field Hockey
NEW YORK - After two strong performances in a 1-1 week for Temple field hockey, junior midfielder Kathryn Edgar has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time in her career.
Edgar scored two goals and tallied an assist for the Owls, with one of those goals being the game-winner on a penalty stroke with time expired in a 2-1 victory over Towson on Sept. 23. Two days earlier, Edgar, one of the team's tri-captains, hit a long, high shot that found the top of the cage for the Owls' first goal in a 3-2 double-overtime loss to Providence. She also recorded an assist on Temple's other goal in that game, helping tie the score with 20 minutes to go in regulation. For the week, Edgar took eight total shots including six on goal.
Temple is back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 25 in a 1 p.m. game at #19 Liberty.
