Women's Basketball Looks for Third Straight Win on Saturday at Wichita State

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's basketball continues its road stretch at Wichita State on Saturday. The Owls will take on the Shockers at 7:30 p.m. EST/6:30 p.m. local time.

THE OWLS
> Temple is 6-14 overall (2-5 AAC) including 4-3 at home and 2-11 away from McGonigle Hall.
> The Owls have won two-straight games, most recently topping Tulsa on the road, 75-61, on Tuesday.
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple on both ends of the floor, averaging 18.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 15.4 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 4.5 assists and 2.2 steals per outing.
> Freshman Marissa Mackins averages 7.0 points per game and is second on the Owls with 42 assists.
> Rookie Alexa Williamson is averaging 5.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, while junior Shantay Taylor is averaging 4.6 points and 5.3 boards per outing.
> Sophomore Emani Mayo chips in with 5.3 points per game.
> As a team, Temple is shooting 38.6% from the field and 28.5% from long range.

LAST TIME OUT: Temple 75, Tulsa 61
> A career performance for Alliya Butts pushed the Temple to a 75-61 win on the road at Tulsa on Tuesday night. 
> Butts dropped a career-best 34 points as Temple rebounded from an early 13-point deficit. 
> Trailing by five at the half, a huge third quarter changed the momentum, as the Owls outscored Tulsa 27-15 in the frame.
> Temple then sealed the win with a 19-12 fourth quarter.
> Butts' 34 points topped her previous career high of 30 and she also had five rebounds and a team-best five assists.
> Mia Davis finished with 25 points and nine rebounds.
> Emani Mayo added five points with a career-best nine boards.
