Batze Named to Big East Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK- Junior field hockey midfielder Dani Batze was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll following an impressive weekend on the pitch, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
Dani Batze scored the OT game-winner over Georgetown Friday afternoon to snap the Owls' 18-game Big East regular season losing streak. The goal was her fourth of the season and third game-winner, and the Eden, Md. native leads the team in both categories.
Batze recorded her team-leading fifth defensive save of the season to rank third in the NCAA. The defensive save was the 17th in her career, making her the NCAA active leader in career saves.
The Owls will return to the field this weekend, closing out their four-game road stretch at Towson and conference opponent Old Dominion.
