Carotenuto Named to Big East Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK- Junior field hockey goal keeper Cristina Carotenuto was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll following an impressive weekend on the pitch, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
Carotenuto allowed one goal in two games, recording 16 saves for a .941 save percentage. She shut out Villanova at home for the team's second conference win of the season Friday night, leading the team's impressive defensive stand.
She set a career-high in saves against No. 18 Rutgers with 13, putting her season total at 63.
The Allentown, Pa., native ranks fourth in the conference in goals against average, posting a 1.54 for the season. She ranks third with a .733 save percentage and averages 4.20 saves per game.
The Owls will close out the regular season this weekend, traveling to Quinnipiac for their final Big East game before hosting LIU Brooklyn for Senior Day.
