Batze Earns NFHCA All-Region Honors

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Dani Batze earned NFHCAÂ All-Region Second Team honors following an impressive season on the pitch, the NFHCA announced Monday.Â
Batze led the team in goals (6), shots (31), shots on goal (19), game-winning goals (4), and defensive saves (5). She ended the season eighth in the nation for defensive saves, and her 16 career defense saves are tied for fourth in the nation among active players.
The Eden, Md. native scored the game-winner over Georgetown to snap the team's 18-game Big East losing streak, and the game-winner in the 3-0 shutout of Villanova in the Owls' second league win of the season.Â
Batze was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll in October, and earned All-Big East Second Team honors in the post-season.
