Men's Basketball Plays Final Regular Season Road Game at UConn on Thursday

PHILADELPHIA - With the regular season winding down and Temple men's basketball looking to clinch a first-round bye in the American Athletic Conference Championships, the Owls (21-8, 11-5) are set to travel to UConn (14-15, 5-11) for a 7 p.m. game on Thursday, March 7 (CBSSN / 1210 AM WPHT).
Scouting Temple
> Most recently, Temple used a 15-0 run, stretching from the first half to the second, to pull away from Tulane in an 80-69 home win. Junior Quinton Rose scored a career-high 29 points, hitting 13-of-21 from the field.
> Temple had its three-game win streak snapped with an 81-73 loss at Memphis on Feb. 26. The Owls got 22 points from senior guard Shizz Alston, Jr., but struggled in the second half, particularly from three-point range.
> The Owls beat Tulsa, 84-73 on Feb. 23, for their 20th win of the season. Head coach Fran Dunphy has now guided the Owls to 20 or more wins in nine of his 13 seasons.
