Ciufo Announces Field Hockey Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - Coming off the first season under head coach Susan Ciufo, the Temple field hockey team will look to continue its improvement with an exciting spring schedule. The Owls will compete on five dates, with two tournaments and three days on North Broad highlighting the slate.
"We are very excited about our Spring 2020 schedule," Ciufo said. "It's critical that we face opponents that will challenge our group to live up to our strengths and challenge our areas of growth. We have been hard at work on some major technical pieces that will benefit our current group as we move forward. Our focus in the last year as a staff has been to lay down the foundation for our structure defensively, and that goal has been accomplished. Now, we are challenging every position on the pitch to become a threat on attack and we're looking forward to how this transpires throughout the spring."
Temple went 7-10 in 2019, seeing five more wins than the previous season and winning its first regular season conference game since 2016. The Owls also finished 57 in RPI, 10 spots better than in 2018. The season also marks the first time since 2016 that Temple has finished the season with an RPI better than 60.
