Men’s Cross Country to Race in Spider/Patriot Cross Country Classic

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's cross country team will compete in the Spider/Patriot Cross Country Classic on Saturday, Feb. 20 in Mechanicsville, Va.
About the Spider/Patriot Cross Country Classic
> The meet is co-hosted by the University of Richmond and George Mason University.
> The men's 8K race is set to begin at 1 p.m.
> Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. will be the site for Saturday's meet.
> Temple is set to race against Duquesne, George Mason, Georgetown, George Washington, Iona, Richmond, St. Joseph's, UMass Lowell and William & Mary.
Last Time Out
> The Owls finished third out of 10 teams at the American Athletic Conference Championship on Feb. 6 in Wichita, Kan.
> Kristian Jensen led the Owls with his time of 24:41.6 to finish eighth overall and earn All-Conference honors.
> Freshman Christian Fitch finished just outside the top 15 with his 18th-place mark of 25:06.06.
> Rookie Erik Kain followed closely behind at the 20th spot as he crossed the finish line at 25:07.53.
