Carotenuto Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Temple field hockey goalkeeper Cristina Carotenuto was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league Monday. This is the second-straight week that an Owl has earned a conference honor, with Kaitlyn Cummins being named Freshman of the Week and Dani Batze and Veronika Novakova being named to the Weekly Honor Roll last week.
Carotenuto made nine saves for a .750 save percentage in a 0-2 weekend against Old Dominion. She allowed for just three goals, one in a shootout, for a 1.50 goals against average.
The Owls will return home this weekend, hosting Liberty on Feb. 27 and 28 for the first two games of a four-game series. Both games are set to begin at 12 p.m.
