Carotenuto Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Temple field hockey goalkeeper Cristina Carotenuto was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league Tuesday. This is the fourth week that Carotenuto has been tabbed.
Carotenuto recorded nine saves in two games to help Temple split the series against Providence, with the Owls defeating the Friars for the first time since 2014. The Allentown, Pa. native had her fourth clean sheet of the season on Sunday, defending a penalty stroke and seven corners. She allowed just two goals and two-stroke off attempts.
Temple will hit the road this weekend for the first two of a three-game road stretch, heading to Liberty for the second pair of games against the Flames.
