Owls Earn NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -Â The Temple field hockey program had another outstanding performance in the classroom last semester, with the Owls earning a NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award honor.
Temple is one of 79 teams across the country that earned the honor. The NFHCA National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2020-2021 school year. The Owls finished well above the 3.0 mark, posting a 3.53.
One Division I academic award remains to be released, the NFHCA Division I National Scholar-Athlete will be announced on June 15. The Division I National Academic Squad and Division I Scholars of Distinction were announced earlier this month.
Temple will hit the road this weekend for the first two of a three-game road stretch, heading to Liberty for the second pair of games against the Flames.
