Kopec, Ragusa Named to Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Temple field hockey freshman Julianne Kopec and graduate student Megan Ragusa have been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.Â
Kopec had an impressive collegiate debut, both goals in the 2-0 win over Merrimack in the season opener. The West Long Branch, N.J. native fired five shots, putting three on target, with team-leading four coming against the Warriors.
Ragusa recorded seven of Temple's eight saves over opening weekend in her debut as an Owl. The Wake Forest, N.C. native allowed just two goals and saw a clean sheet against Merrimack. She helped lead a defense that successfully defended six of seven penalty corners.
The Owls will return to the field this weekend, heading to Hofstra on Sept. 3 before hosting Bucknell on Sept. 3.
