No. 11 Fencing Heads to Sacred Heart Duals

PHILADELPHIA - After a successful meet at Penn last month, the No. 11 fencing team will look to close out the calendar year on a high note at the Sacred Heart Duals on Dec. 4.
The Owls went 3-3 in their dual play opener at the Elite Invitational last month, topping Air Force, No. 9 Northwestern, and LIU. Temple dropped close 15-12 matches to both UCSD and No. 6 Cornell.Â
Foilist Anna Novoseltseva led the team, going 13-5 including 3-0 marks against Northwestern and Air Force. Margherita Calderaro posted the best mark in epee, going 8-4 and 3-0 against Northwestern. Emma Pinucs' 7-3 mark led the sabre squad, going 2-1 against Northwestern.
The Cherry and White will open the day at 11 a.m. against NJIT before facing No. 1 NYU (DIII), No. 4 Harvard, Sacred Heart, and No. 8 Vassar (DIII).Â
