Men’s Basketball Hosts Tulane in Key AAC Contest Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – Another key American Athletic Conference game awaits Temple Sunday (3 p.m/ESPNU/1210 AM WPHT) when Men's Basketball hosts Tulane in a battle for fourth place in the league standings.
The Owls (15-10, 8-6 AAC), which fell at Memphis Thursday in a third-place showdown, will look to extract revenge against the Green Wave (12-12, 9-6) and move past them and into fourth in the AAC. The top five teams in the conference standings receive first-round byes in the 2022 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship (Mar. 10-13).
Tulane won the first meeting this season in New Orleans, 92-83 (OT), on Feb. 12 for its second straight victory over Temple. The Green Wave also defeated the Owls last season in the Liacouras Center.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Damian Dunn, who had his string of 17 consecutive double-figure scoring games snapped at Memphis (4 pts), leads the Owls in scoring (15.0 ppg/8th AAC) and free throw percentage (104-125, .832/5th AAC).
> Jeremiah Williams, who returned to action at Memphis after missing the previous three games, is second on the team in scoring (9.5 ppg) and runs the show offensively. Questionable for Memphis, he leads the Owls in assists (4.3 apg, 5th AAC), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.94/3rd AAC) and steals (30).
> Tai Strickland, who was named the AAC Player of the Week on Monday, is averaging 8.3 ppg (3rd on team). He exploded for a career-high 27 points in the SMU win and tallied 11 points in his first collegiate start at Cincinnati.
