Women's Basketball Meets SMU For First Road Matchup on Monday

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's basketball team is trying to break its three-game losing streak when it travels to Dallas, Texas to take on the SMU Mustangs on Monday, Feb. 28 at 8:00pm ET on ESPN+. The matchup will be the first of two games within three days for the two sides.
LAST GAME
> The Temple women's basketball team suffered its third consecutive loss on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Tulane Green Wave by the score of 71-56.
> After trailing for the majority of the first half, the Owls got off to a hot start to begin the second half, as they took the lead with just over five minutes remaining in the third quarter.
> Poor shooting by Temple down the strecth allowed the Green Wave to regain the lead and hold on for the win.
> Mia Davis: game-high 25 points and 11 rebounds on 9-16 shooting
> Emani Mayo: 10 points and five rebounds
THE OWLS

> The Mustangs are led by Savannah Wilkinson and Jasmine Smith. Wilkinson nearly averages a double-double as she leads the team in points per game (14.3) and rebounds per game (9.9). Smith leads the team in assists per game and blocked shots per game.
> The Mustangs take care of the basketball extremely well as SMU ranks second in the AAC in fewest turnovers.
