Frey, Oerlemans Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Molly Frey and Nienke Oerlemans of Temple field hockey have been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following an impressive weekend on the road, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. This is the first nod of the season for Oerlemans and second-straight nod for Frey.
Frey posted one clean sheet and allowed just one goal from No. 12 Virginia, the first time in four games the Cavs have been held to one goal. She set career-highs in saves in both games this weekend, recording three at UVA and five at Longwood, and led a defense that successfully defended eight of nine penalty corners.

Oerlemans posted one defensive save at No. 12 Virginia to hold the Cavs to just one goal, the fewest the team has been held to so far this season. She scored the game-winning goal at Longwood Sunday and was part of a defense that successfully defended eight of nine penalty corners.
The Owls will return home to host LIU on Sept. 9 before hitting the road for Bucknell on Sept. 11.
