No. 11 Fencing Set for Penn State Invite

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 11 Temple fencing team will return to the strip at the Penn State Invitational, heading to University Park, Pa. for the first collegiate action of the 2023 calendar year on Sunday.
The Owls most recently competed at the January North American Cup in Louisville, Ky., with epeeist Margherita Calderaro's 15th place finish leading the team. Temple is 7-4 in dual play, seeing a 4-1 mark at the Sacred Heart Duals in December. Sophomore foilist Anna Novoseltseva leads the team with 19 wins, while Gretl Merges (foil) and Emma Pincus (sabre) both saw 13 wins.Â
 Action at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the last set of bouts taking place at 4:45 p.m.Â
