Novoseltseva Ties For Third at Garret Open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Temple fencing team had a successful start to its 2023-24 campaign at the Garret Open hosted by Penn State, with Anna Novoseltseva leading the team with a tie for third place. The Owls saw five top-8 finishes and eight top-15 finishes.
Meet Results
> Anna Novoseltseva took home bronze with a third place finish to lead the team and the foil squad.
> Natalie Adams-Kim (foil) had an impressive debut in Cherry and White with a sixth place finish, while fellow foilist Anastasia Yankovskiy finished eighth and Elizabeth Novoseltseva earned a 14th place finish
> Renee Oymann (19th) and Constança Dimas (22nd) round out the foil finishes.
> Margherita Calderaro's ninth-place finish led the epeeists.Â
> Fellow epeeists Anne-Mai Melles (20th), Cindy Long (28th), Lindsey Minor (29th) and Sara Proctor (41st) round out the epee finishes.
> Arwen Gormley's sixth-place finish, Lauren Johnson's seventh-place finish, and Alexandra Weinberg's ninth-place finish led the saberists. Zoe Turner (sabre) tied for a 19th-place finish while Diana Tiburcio (sabre) earned a 22nd-place finish.
