Four Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

GENEVA, N.Y. — Following the announcement of 17 Owls named to the 2022 NFHCA Division I Academic Squad, the organization announced that more than 250 student-athletes have been recognized as NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction. Four Owls made the list, with Julia Bunch, Maddie Molchany, Lina Neilson, and Megan Phillips each being honored.
The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year.
Bunch is an accounting major and earned a fall semester GPA of 4.0 for a cumulative 4.0 GPA. Molchany is an early childhood education major and earned a fall semester GPA of 4.0 for a 3.95 cumulative GPA. Neilson is a speech, language hearing sciences major and earned a fall semester GPA of 4.0 for a cumulative 4.0 GPA. Phillips is a public relations and communications and social influence double major and earned a fall semester GPA of 4.0 for a cumulative 4.0 GPA.
The NFHCA has already announced the 2022 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad — the NFHCA National Academic Team awards will be announced on February 21 and the National Scholar-Athlete on February 23.
