Muller Named Preseason All-Conference

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Junior midfielder Tess Muller has earned a spot on the Preseason All-Conference Team, as announced by the BIG EAST Thursday. Temple field hockey was picked to finish fourth in the conference standings.Â
Muller had a breakout year in her sophomore season, playing in all 19 games with 18 starts. Her six goals came in second on the team, with her last-second goal against Drexel being the game-winner. The Naarden, Netherlands native posted 10 assists to rank second on the team and tie for fifth in the conference. Muller fired a team-leading 33 shots with 19 on target for a .576 shots on goal percentage, and was BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 1 as well as a two-time BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recipient. She was named First Team All-Conference and selected to the All-Tournament Team.
The Cherry and White will open the season on Aug. 25, hosting Big 5 rival La Salle in the first of a five-game homestand.
