Frey Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA - After helping lead the No. 19 Temple field hockey team to a 2-0 weekend and a 1-0 win over UConn last weekend, goalkeeper Molly Frey has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. This is the second weekly honor for Frey this season.
Frey recorded her second shutout of the season in the team's league-opening win over the Huskies. She posted five saves on the weekend and allowed just one goal. The Eagleville, Pa. native led a defense that successfully defended 11 penalty corners.Â
Temple will return to the pitch for its second BIG EAST game of the season, heading to Norfolk, Va. to face Old Dominion on Sept. 22.
