Field Hockey Enters National Rankings

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – The Temple University field hockey team is being recognized for its run of success this season, entering the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll for the first time in 2024. The Owls are ranked No. 20.
Temple has won five games in row including a stretch where it defeated then No. 18 Old Dominion, No. 20 Monmouth and No. 18 Liberty in succession. The Owls followed that stretch with a double overtime victory against a Wagner team that came into the weekend tied for the lead in the NEC.
It is the first time the Cherry and White is ranked since September 19, 2023 when it was 19th and the sixth week Temple has been ranked since the beginning of the 2018 season.
The Owls return to action on Friday, October 11 when they host Providence at 2:00 p.m. at Howarth Field.
