ABOUT THE OWLS
- This will be the second official racing weekend of the fall season, after the Navy Day Regatta was canceled last weekend due to weather.
- The Owls had an impressive showing in their only regatta thus far, securing two wins and seven top-five showings at the Head of the Ohio.
- At last year's Head of the Charles, both entries finished in the top 15 of the collegiate eight race to earn automatic bids into this year's regatta.
- The varsity eight last season finished eighth overall while the second varsity eight closed in 13th position.
- The top 50% of each 8+ and 4+ race at Head of the Charles automatically qualify for the following year's event -- there are preliminarily 42 entries in this year's event.
