Temple Field Hockey Announces 2025 Captains

Seniors Halle Aschenbach, Peyton Rieger and Agustina Tucceri have been named team captains
PHILADELPHIA – Temple University field hockey head coach Michelle Vittese announced today that seniors Halle Aschenbach, Peyton Rieger and Agustina Tucceri have been named team captains for the 2025 season.
Aschenbach has appeared in 44 games over the past three seasons, making 18 starts last year. She recorded three goals and two assists for eight points in 2024. The Fairfield, N.J., native opened her junior campaign with goals in three of the first four games, scoring against Queens (N.C.), Lock Haven and Richmond.
Rieger enters her senior year with 55 career appearances, including 19 starts in 20 games last season. She has totaled nine goals and seven assists for 25 career points. In 2024, she ranked fourth on the Owls in goals (5) and points (15) while tying for second in assists.
Tucceri has started 54 of 56 career games, tallying six goals and four assists over three seasons. One of six Owls to start all 20 contests during the 2024 BIG EAST runner-up campaign, the Buenos Aires, Argentina, native posted three goals and two assists. She sent the Owls to the BIG EAST Championship with a double-overtime game-winner in a 2-1 victory over No. 20 Old Dominion in the semifinals.
Temple will host two exhibition games this weekend, facing Rider on Friday at 2 p.m. and Saint Joseph's on Sunday at noon at Howarth Field. The Owls open the regular season at Delaware on Friday, Aug. 29, at noon.
