Men's Golf Opens Fall Season with Temple Invitational

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - The Temple University men's golf team begins the 2025-26 season on Monday as it hosts the Temple Invitational at The 1912 Club. The Owls will have a pair of teams competing and 11 other programs will take part in the 54-hole event over two days. Teams will tee off beginning at 7:45 a.m.

COURSE DETAILS ABOUT THE OWLS
  • Three of Temple's five starters at last season's American Conference Championships return, including seniors Aidan Emmerich and Jake Naese.
  • Emmerich was the top finisher at conference championships for the Owls at one-under par 215, while Naese finished in a tie for second on the team at 221.
  • For the year, Emmerich tallied a team-high 10 rounds of par or better in 2024-25, including a season-best 68 at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic.
  • Naese started all 12 events for Temple last season and registered three top-20 finishes.
  • Sophomore Mason Tomé came on strong down the stretch last season and closed the year with a final-round, even-par 72 at American Conference Championships.
  • Rising junior Matthew Vital, who closed in second place at the APGA Jefferson Health Classic this summer, joins the trio the Temple 'A' lineup, along with freshman Nicholas Pisarski.

  • Local Philly teams Drexel, La Salle, Penn, and Saint Joseph's join the field, as do East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, Francis Marion, Appalachian State, Dartmouth, Rider, and Lehigh.
