Owls Set to Close Out Non-Conference Play at Penn

PHILADELPHIA - Temple volleyball will travel across town to face Penn at The Palestra in a Big Five matchup, closing out non-conference play on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Owls enter the contest riding momentum from a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Cherry & White Invitational, with two of those victories coming in straight sets.

Alyssa Finister anchored Temple's defense at the net, posting 18 kills (1.80 per set) on a .324 hitting percentage, along with 10 total blocks (1.00 per set), seven digs, and 26 points across three matches. She helped propel the Owls into fourth place in The American in blocks with 100 through 45 sets, averaging 2.0 blocks per set.
Leia Harper paced Temple's attack, leading the team with 45 kills (4.50 per set), 53.5 points (5.35 per set), and a .264 hitting percentage, while also adding 34 digs, six blocks, and four aces. She tallied double-digit kills in every match of the weekend.
Lexi Yoza directed the offense with 62 assists (6.20 per set) while also contributing 23 digs and steady back-row play.
Christiana Greene continued her emergence as a key scorer, finishing with 31 kills (3.10 per set) on a .333 hitting percentage, along with nine blocks, 11 digs, and 36 points. She opened the tournament with 12 kills in the sweep of Presbyterian and followed with an efficient .550 performance (11 kills) in the win over Dartmouth.
Scouting Penn
Penn (6-3) enters on a three-match win streak after sweeping Saint Peter's. The Quakers are anchored defensively by Addison Pollock, who has recorded 161 digs (5.0 per set). Offensively, Penn hit .337 in their most recent match and posted a .357 hitting percentage across two contests in Newark. The Quakers are led by first-year head coach Tyler Hagstrom.
