Temple Gymnastics Posts Season-High Score at Maryland Quad Meet

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Temple Owls posted a season-high 194.875 for a 3rd place finish at the Maryland Quad Meet. The Cherry & White put up a season-high 48.950 on the beam that featured three Owls scoring a 9.800 or higher. On the bars, Temple tied a season-high 48.625 that helped the overall score in a massive fashion.

Rotation 1 (BARS: 48.625)
- The Owls notched two big-time scores in the night's opening round at the Maryland Quad Meet.
- Freshman Ava Sutphen notched her second 9.800 of the season on bars in Saturday night's meet. Sutphen last reached that score in week one at Rutgers.
- Sophomore Robyn Dunne scored her third 9.800 or higher on the bars this season with tonight's 9.825.
- Freshman Ella Beck marked a new career-high on the bars at Maryland with a 9.725.
Rotation 2 (BEAM: 48.950)
- Temple continued the momentum gained in rotation one into rotation two and put up a season-high beam performance.
- Three Owls posted a 9.800 or higher in the rotation, starting with Megan White's 9.825. Nikki Rengifo added a 9.800 to the rotation in the anchor spot.
- Dunne continued her outstanding night by posting a 9.850 on beam to round out a stellar Temple beam performance.
Rotation 3 (FLOOR: 48.625)
- Temple had strong contributions from the final three to compete in the rotation.
- Nikki Rengifo and Amelia Budd each posted a 9.775 on their respective floor routines.
- Brooklyn Thomas put up the highest score for the Owls in the rotation in her home state. The freshman tied a career-high score of a 9.800.
Rotation 4 (VAULT: 48.675)
- The Owls showed consistency on the vault tonight in route to its highest team score overall this season.
- Budd posted a 9.775 for the Owls, continuing her season-long streak of a 9.725 or higher on vault.
- The team high on the apparatus went to Rengifo as she scored a 9.800.
UP NEXT
Temple will be back in action on Sunday, March 15 at the George Washington Quad Meet with Maryland and Towson. The meet will begin at 1:00 pm and will be streamed on ESPN+. This will be Temple's final regular season meet before the 2026 EAGL Championships hosted by the LIU Sharks in Brookville, N.Y. on Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 pm.
