After a standout, four-year career at Kutztown University, Courtney Konowal joined the Temple field hockey staff as the director of operations in August, 2018. Konowal earned her bachelor's degree in leisure and sports studies from Kutztown in May, 2018, and is working toward a master's degree in sport business from Temple.
Konowal was a four-time All-PSAC selection while at Kutztown, and served as team captain in both her junior and senior seasons. She was recognized numerous times for her work off the field as well, including being named Kutztown's Female Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year and being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team, both in her senior year. She was a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, a four-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a three-time recipient of an NCAA Division I Athletic Director's Association Academic Achievement Award.
Starting in every game for Kutztown throughout her four years, Konowal scored 12 goals and added 12 assists for 36 total points.
During the spring of her senior year, Konowal gained athletic department experience at Villanova University as an athletics business office intern. She also worked at A-G Administrators - Sports Insurance Specialists in the summer of 2018, and has had experiences both coaching and on the administrative side at various levels of youth field hockey.
