Leah Settipane joined Temple Athletics prior to the 2021 season as an Assistant Field Hockey Coach. Settipane works primarily with the goalkeepers.

The 2022 Owls had one of the team's most successful seasons in nearly a decade, with the team going 13-6 (4-3 BIG EAST) and advancing to the BIG EAST Tournament for the third straight year. Temple cracked the rankings for the first time since 2014, coming in at No. 24 on Sept. 19 and ending the season at No. 23. 

The Cherry and White saw success early, winning six of its first seven games and coming back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Quinnipiac 6-3 in its league opener (Sept. 16). Temple clinched its BIG EAST Tournament berth on Oct. 28, defeating No. 13 UConn for the second straight year. 

The Owls saw their best RPI finish (23) since finishing 11th in 2014, and several statistical improvements. The Owls allowed the fewest penalty corners (74) since 2006 when the stat began to be tracked, scored the most goals (47) since 2015, allowed the fewest goals (24) since 2004, and posted the most shutouts (6) since 2010. Senior goalkeeper Molly Frey finished the season 15th in the NCAA in GAA (1.20 ). She now ranks fourth in program history for career GAA (1.16) and fifth for her season GAA

A four-year starting goalkeeper at Boston College, Settipane earned her bachelor's degree in communications in 2016. She finished her career with the Eagles with a 1.88 GAA to rank ninth in program history. Her .750 save percentage is also ninth in program history while her 469 saves and 15.1 shutouts rank third. Settipane holds the record for total wins in program history with 48.Â
