Pete D[apos]Alonzo begins his third year at Temple. He was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director in July of 2007, following one year in the University[apos]s
academic support services unit for student-athletes.
In his role, D[apos]Alonzo reports directly to Bill Bradshaw on NCAA Academic Performance Program issues. D[apos]Alonzo[apos]s responsibilities include devising the University[apos]s NCAA Academic Improvement Plans for the purpose of improving NCAA Academic Progress Rates.
Prior to his appointment at Temple, D[apos]Alonzo spent nine years at Notre Dame. During that time, the Irish earned a 100 percent graduation success rate, capturing the AFCA[apos]s academic achievement award in 2001 and in 2003 won the USA Today NCAA Academic Achievement Award with a graduation rate of 92 percent.
A 1985 graduate of James Madison where he lettered in football, D[apos]ALonzo earned a Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth in 1997.
