Gary Bundy

Gary Bundy is in his seventh year as Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services at Temple. In his position, Bundy coordinates the community outreach programs involving student-athletes, in particular the Owl Outreach program as well as the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program for student-athletes. The CHAMPS/Life Skills Program involves student-athletes in seminars and workshops which address personal development skills.

Extremely active in regional and national organizations, Bundy is the co-chair of the Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete Advisory Board and serves on the league[apos]s track rules committee. He is a national facilitator with the NCAA Leadership Conference and a member of the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills Directors Association. For 15 years prior to his appointment at Temple, he served as a public school principal. During that time, he was appointed as an advisor to the Governor of Pennsylvania in the area of special education and as a consultant with the Race Desegregation Assistance Center of the University of Pittsburgh.

A former track coach, Bundy led Cheltenham High to consecutive state runner-up finishes in PIAA competition, earning state Coach of the Year in 1985. His son, Josh, is a junior on the Owls football team.
