Before Temple
Rengifo, a graduate of Coral Glades High School in Coral Springs, Florida, achieved notable success as a member of American Twisters Club. In their senior year, Rengifo earned honors with a 9.9 on Vault in the season’s first meet and was the State Vault Champion, narrowly missing Nastia Liukin Cup qualification by .025. She averaged 38 in the all-around, and her team placed 2nd at State. As a junior, Rengifo qualified for Nationals, finishing 6th on Vault and becoming the Regional Vault Champion with a 9.9, contributing crucial scores on Vault, Beam, and Floor to secure a State Championship. In her sophomore year, despite recovering from a shoulder injury, she competed at regionals and were an alternate for Nationals, helping their team to another State Championship.
