Men's Basketball to Face La Salle Saturday at the Palestra as Part of ESPN's College GameDay

PHILADELPHIA - The Palestra's all-time winningest coach, Temple's Fran Dunphy, will look to continue that trend when his team faces La Salle at the historic arena on Saturday, Jan. 18 at noon. ESPN's College GameDay Covered by State Farm will film at the Palestra prior to the contest, and the game will be shown live on ESPN2.

• No coach has more wins at the Palestra than Fran Dunphy. He owns an all-time record of 171-55 (.757) in the historic arena, which includes an 11-3 record since arriving at Temple in 2006.
• The Owls are 2-0 in Philadelphia Big 5 play heading into the game, with Villanova being the only other undefeated team at 3-0.
• Temple is one of only three teams in Division I to have four players averaging 13 or more points per game.
• Dalton Pepper tops the team in scoring (17.5 ppg, 3rd AAC), three-pointers (2.7 pg, 1st AAC) and 3-pt percentage (.441, 7th).
• Anthony Lee (13.9 ppg) continues to lead the conference in rebounding (9.4 rpg), and has seven double-doubles on the season after scoring 14 points and adding 11 rebounds at Cincinnati.
• Quenton DeCosey (16.1 ppg) is the only Owl to have scored double figures in every game, and has played all 40 mins in three straight games.
• Will Cummings ranks second on the team and sixth in the league with 16.1 ppg, and has scored in double figures in 12 of 14 games played.
• Temple and La Salle are meeting for the 114th time, with the Owls holding a strong, 73-40 advantage in the all-time series.
• In last year's meeting, Temple won 82-74 at home against a La Salle team that went on to finish the year in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
• The Owls have won eight straight against the Explorers, including an 80-79 overtime win at Tom Gola Arena in 2011-12.
• This will be the first meeting for the two teams at the Palestra since Jan. 4, 1989, a game Temple won by a score of 67-57.
• La Salle, led by Tyreek Duren and Tyrone Garland with 13.8 ppg apiece, has won four straight contests heading into Saturday's game.
