Field Hockey Has Strong Showing at USFHA National Indoor Tournament

RICHMOND, Va. - Temple field hockey coaches, recruits and alums all participated in the US Field Hockey Association's recent National Indoor Tournament. The Owls' assistant coach, Kelly Driscoll, helped coach her Under 19 FSC Falcons Black Team. They won their Under 19 L Pool, earning Gold Medals and the first Under 19 Championship for the FSC Club.

Four of Temple's incoming recruits played on other teams, and are all pictured above. Maiyah Brown played with U19M Marojoka Green, Ashley Kucera played with the U19B Xcalibur Panthers, Madison Gouza played with the U19H Mystx I Storm, and Rachael Mueller played with the U19L Mystx Sting.

Temple had six alums who participated in the U19 NIT as club coaches. Charise Young, also a former Temple assistant coach, was with FSC Falcons Grey. Kristen Wanner, Alli Lokey and Haley Dervinis all coached with Xcalibur. Joann Engestrom coached with the Washington Wolves, and Sarah Dalrymple coached for Oranje Gotta Love It.
