PHILADELPHIA -
Temple men's basketball's NIT run continues Sunday morning with a second round game at the Liacouras Center against former Atlantic 10 rival George Washington.  The game will be televised live by ESPN with the tip-time coming at 11:00 am.

This will be the 69th meeting between the teams with Temple owning a 52-16 advantage in the series.  The Owls have won six straight against the Colonials and have posted wins in six of the eight meetings at the Liacouras Center.

Temple has won seven straight at the Liacouras Center and its 73-67 victory over Bucknell in First Round action of the NIT Wednesday tied the season mark for wins in the venue (14-2 record). Senior co-captain Will Cummings led the way for the Owls, scoring a season-high 30 points to provide head coach Fran Dunphy a NIT win in his first-ever game coaching in the tournament.

A first team all-conference selection, Cummings leads the Owls in scoring (14.7 ppg), assists (4.2 apg) and steals (2.0 spg).  He was a perfect nine-of-nine from the foul line and is now tied for fifth place on the school's single season list for made free throws with former great Bill "Pickles" Kennedy (176, '59-60).

Junior guard Quenton DeCosey (12.4 ppg) and senior guard Jesse Morgan also score in double figures for Temple (24-10), which secured its third 24-win season in the past four years.

Junior forward Jaylen Bond (7.7 ppg, 7.9 rpg) continues to lead the conference in rebounding while also solidifying a defense that holds opponents to 60.8 ppg.  Junior center Devontae Watson (2.5 ppg, 36 blocks) rounds out the starting five.

Sophomore guard Josh Brown (6.3 ppg), who reached double figures for the eighth time this season (11 pts), leads a talented and deep bench. Freshman Obi Enechionyia (5.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg), junior Devin Coleman (3.5 ppg), sophomore Daniel Dingle (3.6 ppg) and sophomore Mark Williams (3.5 ppg) all average double-figure minutes in Dunphy's 10-man rotation.

Junior Kevin Larsen (10.6 ppg, 7.4 rpg), a third team all-Atlantic 10 honoree, leads the fifth-seeded Colonials, who have won four of their last five games, including a 60-54 win at Pittsburgh in the First Round of the NIT.  Larsen is one of four double-figure scorers for head coach Mike Lonergan's squad with junior guard Patricio Garino (12.5 ppg, 1.7 spg) topping GW in scoring.  Juniors Kethan Savage (11.3 ppg) and Joe McDonald (10.1 ppg) complete the Colonial offensive quartet.

The winner of the Temple-George Washington game will take on the winner of the Louisiana Tech at Texas A&M contest (March 23) on Wednesday, March 25.  If Temple wins it will host the game while GW would travel if it wins.
