Field Hockey Falls 4-0 at BIG EAST Foe Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va. - Temple field hockey was unable to make it a fourth straight win in its series against Old Dominion, falling 4-0 to the Monarchs on Friday afternoon in BIG EAST action. The Owls (3-8, 0-4) gave up too many penalty corners to ODU (5-7, 2-2), leading to two of the Monarchs' goals.
Keys to the Game
> ODU scored on its first penalty corner of the game in the fifth minute, and the 1-0 lead stood through halftime.
> Junior Chloe Johnson made five first-half saves after allowing the early goal.
> Temple's only shot of the first half came on a penalty corner at the end of the period, and was blocked.
> The Owls had two shots on goal, both in the final 20 minutes of the game, but ODU's Lacey Frazier came up with saves on both.
> ODU scored its second penalty-corner goal early in the second half, and scored its third and fourth goals in 49th and 50th minutes of the game.
> The Monarchs were awarded 14 penalty corners compared to three for Temple.

> Both senior Hattie Kuhns and freshman Mia Sexton registered one shot on goal for the Owls.
